Ebook update!

We have been creating E-books so that when we have finished them Mr. Abbot is going to share them with the rest of the school. I have updated mine so now it has lots more writing on it. We went into Pobble 365 and choose a picture to get us started, with our story It was very fun. We had some funny stories and probably quite a lot of scary stories, Have you used Pobble365? Clued up Kidz!

 Four days ago Ruma Kereru went to clued-up kids. Clued-up kids is a place some schools go to, to learn what to do if you're in danger. I had so much fun we learned about fire danger and what to do when there is smoke in your eyes. We also learned about four-wheeler safety and what to do when there's something in front of you. We did kitchen safety and then we learned what to do if you were stabbed by a knife. We learned about trains and the trains cant just stop like ...SNAP! It takes about 30 seconds before the train stops after it hits the emergency button. Also never go behind a horse and be all excited or you might be kicked and there's a high chance you die if you get kicked. Anyways Have you went to clued-up kids? Or if you have did you like it? EBOOK

 Today we crafted an ebook. To do this we wrote a story, then went about recrafting our writing.   Recrafting means going back to your story and looking for opportunities to make the story better. 

We finished our ebook, it was a cool writing task. We got pictures from Pobble365 and then we just turned it into a story.  Pobble365 has images in it that you can scroll through and can pick the day on a calendar thing then Poof a picture appears. then you write about the photo you get given then you draw a picture in their head.   

Kawa of care

 This is my Kawa of care poster I made the poster in Canva it was cool! This was my first time using the Canva website It was really cool and easy when all the Posters that are finished they get printed. Then blue tacked onto the wall I was happy with my result, are you? Paper-Copters

 Today my class made paper helicopters and then we had fun racing each other. My paper helicopter was not the best! But lots of people got a good helicopter like Taylor. I like them because they spin a lot till they hit the ground. We did this because it was a reading task and it was related to the story we read where his cat dies and then they stuff it into a remote-controlled helicopter.

How to make

What You'll Need:

• Strips of heavy paper or cardboard (1X10 inches)
• Small paper clips
• Markers or crayons

How to Make Papercopter:

Step 1: Fold a 1X10-inch strip of paper in half. Fold the ends down about two inches, but don't fold them straight down. Instead, fold them at a slight angle.

Place a paper clip on the bottom of your folded paper-copter.

Step 2: Push a paper clip onto the bottom, and fold the wings out. Decorate your paper-copter  with markers or crayons. Holding your paper copter by the paper clip, throw it into the air and watch it spin like a helicopter!

Mr. Kinane

 For Monday Tuesday and Wednesday we got Mr. Kinane we used a website called microbit.org  It is cool you can use a real microbit or a micro bit on the website. One day when we had him I went 105 steps away from the other micro bits and they still messaged each other! I enjoyed it because we could code words on the website put an extension cord into my computer the micro bit gets an extension cord as well then it reads the code then sends it to another micro bit.you can go on makecode.microbit.org to make your one code and use the virtual.              Link
